Yesterday Chabad of Oxnard completed the writing of a very special Torah which they purchased from us. It was written in honor of the members of the US armed forces past and present. The writing of the Torah was begun in a public ceremony in Oxnard several months back. A scribe in Israel spent most of a year writing the rest of the scroll. He only left out the last few letters. We then had the scroll shipped back to Oxnard where the last few letters were written in another public ceremony yesterday.
