Pomegranate Mezuzahs

The pomegranate, rimon (רִמּוֹן), is one of the seven species named in the Torah's description of the Land of Israel. Its rounded form, crown, and richly colored seeds give Judaica makers a beautiful subject for the mezuzah case.

Pomegranate designs can feel rustic, lively, or finely detailed, with the fruit appearing alone or among leaves and other Israeli motifs. Warm brass mezuzah covers give the rimon a different character from cool pewter and colorful finishes.

The design has a place in the home throughout the year, with a special connection to the fruits of Israel. The traditions described in Tu BiShvat customs offer another way to understand that connection.
