The engraved gold Shin, ש, draws the eye to the smooth black face of the Baruch Atah Blessed Black Concrete Mezuzah. Below it, two lines of engraved gold Hebrew carry a blessing for coming in and going out. The lettering gives this mezuzah case its warmth and meaning while leaving the rest of the tall, rectangular front beautifully simple.
Made in Israel, this black-and-gold mezuzah cover looks at home beside dark wood, black door hardware, or a bright entry where its Hebrew words can stand out. Its finish makes it a natural choice among concrete mezuzah cases. The dark face also suits shoppers looking for black mezuzah cases with a distinctly Jewish detail.

Baruch Atah Blessed Black Concrete Mezuzah Hebrew Inscription
The first engraved line reads ברוך אתה בבואך, transliterated Baruch atah bevo'echa. The second reads ברוך אתה בצאתך, transliterated Baruch atah betzetecha.
Word-for-word: ברוך means “blessed”; אתה means “you”; בבואך means “when you come in”; and בצאתך means “when you go out.” Together, the lines mean, “Blessed are you when you come in. Blessed are you when you go out.” The wording echoes Deuteronomy 28:6.
These are words displayed on the cover, not the separate bracha, ברכה (blessing), said when affixing a mezuzah. Our guide explains the mezuzah blessing for that moment.
Completing Your Baruch Atah Blessed Black Concrete Mezuzah
Choose a compatible 5-inch parchment in the Complete Your Mezuzah area, or compare our kosher mezuzah scrolls. When purchased together, the scroll can be carefully rolled, wrapped, and inserted through the bottom opening before shipping.
The sacred part inside is the kosher klaf, קלף (parchment), handwritten by a sofer, סופר (scribe). Read about what is inside a mezuzah scroll to see how the sacred parchment differs from the blessing engraved on this case.
If you plan to reuse an older parchment, arrange mezuzah checking before transferring it. You can then follow our guide to mezuzah placement when choosing its spot on the doorpost.
A Black-and-Gold Mezuzah for Coming Home
The engraved words feel especially fitting at the threshold, where family and guests come and go each day. This piece is a thoughtful choice among Jewish housewarming gifts for a new home or office. If the case is relocated, use fresh mezuzah mounting tape and reseal the scroll opening for protected exterior placement.
