The Blessing Spring Gold Jerusalem Stone Mezuzah is a large, curved mezuzah case cut from real Jerusalem stone and accented by a raised gold botanical line. This natural-stone mezuzah cover is made in Israel, with a three-leaf Shin emerging near the top and a winding stem traveling down the cream face.

Mineral marks, tonal shifts, pits, veining, and surface texture make every piece different. That variation is central to Jerusalem stone mezuzahs. The metallic relief also coordinates with other gold mezuzahs.

At six inches tall and one and a half inches wide, the rounded body has presence for a front entrance, broad interior frame, or office. Shoppers considering large mezuzah cases should measure the flat mounting area and door clearance. Its origin also places it among Israeli Judaica mezuzahs made in Israel.

What makes real Jerusalem stone different

Jerusalem stone is natural, so cream, sand, and pale beige tones vary. Fine fissures, mineral spots, and shallow pits do not automatically indicate damage. Other natural stone mezuzahs show how color and texture change by stone type.

The botanical Shin in the Blessing Spring design

The gold sprout forms a stylized Shin (ש), the first letter of Shaddai (שַׁדַּי), one of the Divine Names traditionally written on the reverse of a kosher scroll. The guide explaining mezuzah meaning and purpose makes clear that the case beautifies and protects the parchment, while the handwritten klaf fulfills the mitzvah.

The plant-like design suggests growth, but it does not guarantee blessing or protection. The blessing for affixing a mezuzah is recited when a kosher mezuzah is installed.

Scroll options for this 6-Inch tall Jerusalem stone mezuzah

The case is six inches tall outside and holds a kosher parchment up to five inches. The mezuzah dimensions guide explains why the back opening and chamber must be considered separately from exterior height. The appropriate parchment can be selected from our kosher mezuzah klaf options.

The klaf (קְלָף, parchment) contains Torah passages handwritten by a sofer STaM. Read about the handwritten mezuzah scroll to understand what belongs inside. Customers following Sephardic practice can choose Sephardic mezuzah scrolls in the relevant tradition.

For Chabad homes, Chabad kosher mezuzah scrolls are available in Ari or Alter Rebbe style options. When a compatible scroll is purchased through the product add-on area near Add to Cart, Mezuzah Store can roll and insert it before shipping. Never fold, trim, crush, pinch, pierce, compress, or force parchment into the stone chamber.

Mounting and protecting a Jerusalem stone mezuzah

The included extra-strong tape allows installation without drilling into the stone. First confirm doorway side, height, position, and family custom with the guide to putting up a mezuzah, then clean and dry the mounting surface completely.

Apply the adhesive across stable contact points on the flat back and press evenly so the weight is fully supported. Replacement strong mezuzah mounting tape is available if the case is relocated. The article on using mounting tape for a mezuzah explains the importance of a smooth, clean, dry surface.

Water-resistant does not mean waterproof. Seal the back opening and inspect it periodically outdoors. Other water-resistant outdoor mezuzahs offer different materials for exposed entrances. The mezuzah scroll checking service explains when parchment should be examined.

A Jerusalem stone gift rooted in Yerushalayim

Real Jerusalem stone, Israeli origin, substantial scale, and a sculpted gold Shin give this piece the elevated material story appropriate for Jewish housewarming gifts. It can also carry special meaning among Jewish wedding gifts for a couple establishing a home together.

Its premium natural material also places it among Judaica gifts under $100. Cream stone works with many entryways, while the gold sprout creates a clear focal point tied to Yerushalayim.

can this mezuzah case be used on a front door? is the back sealed for waterproofing?

Mezuzah Store

Yes, this mezuzah can absolutely be used on a front door. This Jerusalem stone mezuzah case is well suited for exterior doorways and sheltered entryways. When a kosher scroll is purchased with the mezuzah, we seal the back with strong double-sided tape to help create an air-tight, water-resistant fit. So while it is not technically 100% waterproof, it performs very well in normal outdoor conditions.
