The Casablanca Jerusalem Stone Mezuzah is a real Jerusalem stone mezuzah case made in Israel with a cream natural-stone body, carved lattice pattern, and raised gold-tone Shin. As a mezuzah cover, it brings a refined blend of Israeli stone, warm gold detail, and elegant Casablanca-inspired design to the doorway.

The rounded stone body is carved with a repeating lattice pattern that gives the case texture, depth, and movement. The gold-tone Shin near the upper center adds a clear Jewish symbol while keeping the overall look soft, neutral, and elevated.

For customers comparing meaningful mezuzah cases, this best-selling stone design offers the kind of presence that feels special on a front entrance, main hallway, office doorway, or gift-worthy Jewish home.

Real Jerusalem Stone with a Luxury Lattice Design

This mezuzah is made from real Jerusalem stone, giving each case natural color variation, surface texture, pores, and subtle stone markings. These details are part of the beauty of genuine stone and make every piece slightly unique.

The carved lattice pattern gives the Casablanca design its elevated character. It has a decorative, almost architectural rhythm, but the cream stone keeps it calm enough for traditional homes, modern interiors, and refined entryways.

Its material places it directly among our Jerusalem stone mezuzahs, while the carved finish and gold Shin make it a natural fit for customers browsing luxury mezuzah cases.

Customers who love natural material can also compare this piece with other stone mezuzah cases made for doorways that need warmth, texture, and a stronger Judaica presence.

The Gold Shin and Jewish Doorway Meaning

The raised gold-tone Shin (ש, Hebrew letter) gives the stone case a recognizable Jewish symbol. Shin is the first letter of Shaddai (שַׁדַּי, Divine Name), traditionally associated with mezuzah.

Shaddai is also connected with Shomer Daltot Yisrael (שׁוֹמֵר דַּלְתוֹת יִשְׂרָאֵל, Guardian of the doorways of Israel). This gives the exterior meaningful Jewish identity, but the decorative Shin does not make the mezuzah kosher by itself.

The handwritten klaf (קְלָף, parchment) inside is what fulfills the mitzvah (מִצְוָה, commandment). The case protects and beautifies the doorway, while the kosher scroll carries the sacred Torah passages.

An Elegant Stone Mezuzah for Special Doorways

At 6 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide, the Casablanca Jerusalem Stone Mezuzah has enough size for the carved pattern and gold Shin to be clearly visible. It works beautifully on front entrances, living-room doorways, studies, offices, hallways, and other places where the mezuzah should feel substantial.

The cream and gold palette pairs well with natural wood, white trim, beige walls, stone entryways, brass hardware, warm metal finishes, stucco, cream paint, and traditional Jewish home decor.

Its elevated look makes it a strong choice among large mezuzah cases, artistic mezuzahs, and decorative mezuzah cases that are meant to do more than simply hold the scroll.

Because it is made in Israel, it also belongs naturally with Israeli mezuzahs chosen for meaningful homes, wedding gifts, housewarming gifts, and special Judaica collections.

Choosing a 5-Inch Kosher Mezuzah Scroll

This case fits a 5-Inch (12 cm) Kosher Mezuzah Scroll. The parchment should sit comfortably inside the rear chamber without being folded, trimmed, crushed, bent, or forced.

Customers choosing a scroll can browse our Kosher Mezuzah Scrolls collection or select a compatible 5-Inch Ari-Zal Mezuzah Scroll when that writing tradition is appropriate.

The sacred text inside a mezuzah includes the Shema (שְׁמַע) and Vehaya im shamoa passages handwritten by a qualified sofer STaM according to halacha.

Mounting and Exterior Doorpost Use

The Casablanca Jerusalem Stone Mezuzah mounts with extra-strong double-sided mounting tape, which is included. No nails are needed.

The tape should be applied to a clean, dry, smooth, and stable area of the doorpost. If the case is moved or reinstalled, use fresh mezuzah tape so the stone case remains secure.

This case is suitable for indoor doorways and exterior doorposts when the back is sealed properly with double-sided tape. Customers selecting a mezuzah for an entrance can also compare outdoor mezuzah cases and water-resistant mezuzah cases.

Placement, Blessing, and Gift Presentation

Correct mezuzah placement generally positions the case on the right side when entering the room or home, within the upper portion of the doorpost and according to the household’s minhag (מִנְהָג, custom).

When the applicable halachic conditions are met, the blessing for putting up a mezuzah is recited during installation.

With its real Jerusalem stone, carved Casablanca lattice, raised gold Shin, Israeli origin, and gift-box-ready presentation, this mezuzah is a beautiful option among Jewish housewarming gifts and Jewish wedding gifts for a new home, apartment, office, renovation, wedding, anniversary, or meaningful doorway.

A Mezuzah brings blessings and protection to your home. In the Jewish tradition, it should be placed on almost every doorpost - including the front door, back door, and bedroom doors - serving as a constant reminder our obligations to God. Inside a Mezuzah is a scroll inscribed with two passages from the Torah, symbolizing the connection between God and the home. More than a tradition, the Mezuzah sanctifies each entrance, filling the home with holiness, peace and spiritual significance.

FAQ

Do your mezuzahs come with a scroll inside?

We sell the Mezuzah cover and the Mezuzah scroll separately.  This is because some people already have scrolls which they purchased from their Rabbi or Synagogue.  Others may already have a Mezuzah with a scroll and they just want to switch the Mezuzah cover to a different one to match their decor etc.

In order to make it easier for you, every product page has an option to add the proper sized Kosher scroll.  If you choose this option, you will receive your Mezuzah with the scroll already wrapped in protective covering and inserted into your Mezuzah cover.

Who certifies your Mezuzahs?

All of our Mezuzahs are guaranteed to be 100% Kosher.  They are hand written by expert scribes in Israel.  They are then computer checked for textual errors.  Finally they are checked by and expert scribe at our workshop in Los Angeles.

Currently there is no organization anywhere that certifies Mezuzahs as Kosher.  But you can rest assured that our Mezuzahs are 100% Kosher.  In fact we are the source of Mezuzahs for many Orthodox Rabbis as well as synagogues and Chabad Houses all over the country.

What makes a Mezuzah "Kosher"?

A Kosher Meuzah is handwritten on parchment by a scribe who is trained in the laws of writing a Mezuzah.  A scroll which is reproduced by machine, or not written according to the laws of the Torah, is not Kosher.  Read our "About Mezuzahs" page to learn more about Mezuzahs.

I am not religious.  Can I get a Non-Kosher scroll?

At MezuzahStore.com we believe very much in the importance of having Kosher Mezuzahs on every door of your home.  Although we don't judge someone who doesn't feel the need to have a Kosher Mezuzah, it would be wrong for us to sell something that we don't believe in.  Therefore we only sell Kosher Mezuzah scrolls even though we lose a lot of sales to people who don't want to pay for the scroll.

Currently, we do not ship via private carriers.  We have found over time that USPS Priority or Express Mail is very cost effective.

What do I do of my item is defective or if it arrives damaged?

About

Our Scrolls

The scroll is the heart and soul of the Mezuzah so it is very important that it be 100% Kosher.

All of our Mezuzah scrolls are handwritten by a certified Torah scribe on real calf-skin parchment. Each scroll is then scanned into a special computer program that checks it for mistakes. Finally each Mezuzah scroll is checked by our own in house Torah scribe to make sure that it is 100% Kosher.
