If you purchase a compatible scroll with the case, Mezuzah Store can carefully roll it, insert it through the back, and prepare the mezuzah before shipping. We seal the rear chamber with double-sided tape to help protect the parchment and improve the case’s water resistance.

Mounting with Included Hardware or Mezuzah Tape

The Vintage Brass Jerusalem Mezuzah can be secured with nails or screws through the designated top and bottom mounting holes. The required mounting hardware is included.

It may also be affixed using the included extra-strong double-sided mezuzah mounting tape. Adhesive mounting provides a clean alternative when drilling or making holes in the doorpost is not preferred.

The mounting surface should be clean, dry, smooth, and stable. If the case is removed and installed again, use fresh double-sided mezuzah tape rather than reusing an adhesive strip that has already been compressed.

Indoor and Exterior Doorpost Use

This brass mezuzah is suitable for indoor doorways and exterior doorposts when the rear chamber is sealed properly with double-sided tape. Proper sealing helps keep ordinary moisture away from the parchment and makes the case water-resistant.

Water-resistant does not mean completely waterproof. The rear seal should be inspected periodically on exterior doorposts, particularly when the mezuzah is exposed to rain, direct sunlight, sprinklers, humidity, or changing temperatures.
