An embossed Shin gives this black concrete mezuzah case its sculpted Jewish character. Three raised dark strokes stand above the matte face, with a narrow gold finish tracing their edges. The strokes curve into rounded turns near the bottom, giving the letter depth and a flowing, connected shape.
Made in Israel, this mezuzah cover brings a familiar Jewish symbol into a modern design. It is a handsome black mezuzah case for the family entrance. The gold edging catches the light along the raised letter, while the textured black body pairs beautifully with wood or dark door hardware.

Complete Your Modern Embossed Gold Shin Mezuzah with a Kosher Scroll
This case fits a 5-inch kosher scroll for mezuzah. Select the matching size in the Complete Your Mezuzah area on this product page.
If you purchase the scroll with the case, we can carefully roll, wrap, and insert it before shipping so your mezuzah arrives ready to affix. For exterior use, sealing the bottom opening with double-sided tape helps create an airtight seal around the scroll chamber. Replacement double-sided mezuzah tape is available separately.
The mitzvah is fulfilled by the handwritten parchment inside. The klaf for mezuzah (קְלָף, parchment) holds the Shema (שמע, “Hear”) passages written by a sofer (סופר, scribe).
Choose a scroll that follows your family’s minhag (מנהג, custom). We offer Chabad mezuzahs in that writing tradition. Match the parchment to the size listed above. Our Sephardic mezuzahs are also available for families who follow that custom.
The parchment is the heart of the mezuzah. Our guide to the mezuzah scroll explains its handwritten Hebrew text and kosher writing.
Existing scrolls also need care over time. Our mezuzah checking guide explains the inspection service.
A secure position matters when you affix the case. Follow our mezuzah placement guide for doorway position, height, and orientation.
Modern Embossed Gold Shin Mezuzah Design and Jewish Meaning
The raised Shin (ש) is associated with Shaddai (שדי, Almighty), the Divine name on the scroll’s reverse. Its rounded turns and fine gold tracing give this contemporary mezuzah a distinctive Jewish detail. The letter’s dark center preserves the strong black-and-gold contrast.
This embossed case makes a handsome choice among Jewish wedding gifts for a couple furnishing their first home. Its sculpted form offers a meaningful welcome each time they return through the door.
