Large Double-Sided Strong Mezuzah Mounting Tape | 6-Inch Product Details

Every spec, one glance.

Water rating
Waterproof

At six inches this is the longest mounting tape for a mezuzah we stock, the top of our mezuzah tape range, for tall cases with enough flat backing to use it all. Read it as a coverage length, not a strength rating. Extra adhesive will not make a heavy case safe to tape.

It is meant for compatible large mezuzahs, where a shorter strip leaves the backing mostly untouched. Some extra large mezuzah cases qualify too, if the back is a straight, flat run.

None of this changes what carries the mitzvah (מִצְוָה, commandment). That is the kosher mezuzah klaf (קְלָף, parchment) inside, and it needs a cover that will not come away.

Long acrylic mezuzah cases are the natural match here, light and flat across the back. Hidden tape keeps hardware from breaking up the front.

6-Inch Double-Sided Mezuzah Mounting Tape Specifications

  • Product Type: Extended strong double-sided mezuzah tape
  • Dimensions: 6 inches (15.2 cm) long by 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) wide
  • Installation: Self-stick, without nails, screws, or drilling
  • Trim-to-Fit: Cuts with scissors before installation
  • Best For: Compatible longer mezuzot with flat backs
  • Coverage: Extended contact along the back of the case
  • Surface Prep: Clean, dry, smooth, stable doorposts
  • Doorway Use: Indoor and protected exterior doorways when case and surface suit

A tall case fails at the ends, not the middle. Six inches carries the bond up and down the backing so the top will not pull away, if the case is light.

How to Mount a Mezuzah with 6-Inch Adhesive Tape

  1. Confirm the case is light enough for tape and flat-backed throughout.
  2. Insert the mezuzah parchment first if the case loads from the back.
  3. Size the scroll to the case interior. Tape length says nothing about which scroll fits.
  4. Trim it wherever the backing curves, narrows, or meets a cap or panel.
  5. Wash the doorpost and let it dry all the way through.
  6. Our where to place a mezuzah guide covers side, height, and angle.
  7. Angle the case inward for Ashkenazi custom, or stand it upright if that is your minhag (מִנְהָג, custom).
  8. Peel the liner, press along the strip, then press the ends and check neither lifts.

Choosing the Right Mezuzah, Klaf, and Mounting Method

A long case is often a heavy one. Case weight, backing shape, material, surface texture, doorpost condition, and exposure decide how to affix a mezuzah, and extra adhesive overrules none. Our guide to mezuzah mounting tape covers where tape strips hold. Heavier cases and cases with mounting holes go on nails for mounting mezuzahs.

A long case outdoors takes the most punishment. Verify the outdoor mezuzah is built for a covered entry before taping it. Our mezuzah accessories cover what adhesive cannot.

Other Double-Sided Mezuzah Tape Sizes

Three shorter lengths cover everything below this one.

Use the tape length that gives the mezuzah case enough adhesive coverage without leaving tape visible around the edges.

How It Works

1. Mark the Spot

Hold your mezuzah case on the doorpost, upper third of the doorway, and mark the top and bottom.

2. Attach the Hardware

Drive the nails, set the screws, or press the mounting tape firmly at your marks.

3. Mount and Bless

Secure the case tilted inward toward the room, firmly fixed and never loose, then say the blessing.
